Internships

The St. Louis Children’s Aquarium offers High School, Education, Research and Public Relations internships.

The High School Internship program is designed for students in grades 9 through college who have recommendations from their teachers and support of their schools. The purpose of the program is to provide leadership development through peer education. Thus, participants who complete the program then take on the responsibility of training a new group of interns.

The Education Internship program is offered to University/College students for the purpose of developing hands-on instructional opportunities and to learn some of the practical aspects of operating a public aquarium. Participants may receive college credits from the university/college they are attending or from a St. Louis area college and then have the credits transfered to their institution.

The Research Internship program is offered to University/College students for the purpose of participating in research efforts and to learn some of the practical aspects of operating a public aquarium. Participants may receive college credits from the university/college they are attending or from a St. Louis area college and then have the credits transfered to their institution.

The Public Relations Internship program allows University/College students the opportunity to participate in the innovative and unique advertising efforts while they learn some of the practical aspects of operating a public aquarium. Participants may receive college credits from the university/college they are attending or from a St. Louis area college and then have the credits transfered to their institution.
